E-HUMAN
"The pace of technological change will be so rapid, and its impact so profound, that human life will undergo an irreversible transformation. Although neither utopian nor dystopian, this era will reshape the concepts we rely on to give meaning to our lives, including death."
- Raymond Kurzweil
The E-HUMAN project is the result of research that addresses topics such as transhumanism, posthumanism, and the concept of the cyborg through obsolete elements. It reflects on the excessive use of electronic elements in daily life and how this contributes to the depersonalization of social circles, dehumanization, and desensitization of individuals.
Cosmos
Technique: Enamel on metal
"Our atoms and those of everything that exists
are made from the remnants of ancient stars
that perished in the distant past of the universe."
- Carl Sagan
The Cosmos project is a quest to understand the latent connection between the cosmos and the human being. The chemical elements that compose celestial bodies (stars and nebulae) are the same elements found in the human body. Therefore, this connection is approached poetically and metaphorically through the gaze. The undeniable similarity between nebulae and the human iris serves as the foundation for creating the enamel pieces in this series.
IN FEMALE
It is an anthology of plastic pieces in different techniques, where there is an introspective dialogue, a reconciliation with the feminine being, in a process to improve and heal. I recognize myself in other women, in their complexity, in their physical, emotional and spiritual feelings.
